The Brody Project is committed to improving human health
through the assistance of therapy animals by offering Animal
Assisted Therapy (AAT) to facilities and organizations that
provide treatment to children and adults.

The Brody Project recruits and coordinates AAT Teams (a
therapy animal and its owner/handler) who work with social
workers, physical, occupational, speech and recreational
therapists, nurses, and other health and human service
professionals who identify specific therapeutic goals for their
patient or client.

In addition to providing AAT services, The Brody Project’s
mission is to promote a deeper understanding of the importance
of the Human-Animal Bond and its proven benefits in enhancing
human health by hosting informative community events
including workshops and seminars featuring local, national, and
international speakers specializing in the field of the Human-
Animal Bond.
AAT is a goal-directed
intervention. Therapy
animals that meet specific
criteria are an integral part
of the treatment process.
The Brody Project
coordinates
referred
patients and their health
care providers with
teams
(a therapy animal and its
handler), to work together
on rehabilitation treatment
goals.
